We are chuffed to bits that our annual exhibition in Aberdeen has already resulted in two sales!

We sold the display Lobster Pod, which at 300Kg shellfish capacity is the highest volume per square metre of any shellfish system, at the Skipper Expo.

New Customers at Skipper 2017

John Arthur (known locally as Arthur) and his grandson Scott Nicol from Gardenstown, Banff bought the system which was installed last week. It is already getting filled with lobsters and Scott is delighted with the new kit.  Scott had visited the Pullar family in Montrose who had a Lobster Pod installed last December.  They obviously said nice things about it as Scott and his Grandad bought the system within minutes of seeing it.  From our first conversation to placing an order took only 21 hours and is our new record for quick turnaround!

We have been busy catching up with the visitors to our stand at Skipper Expo for the past week.  One of the potential new customers from Dartmouth, Devon came to visit our workshop to see working systems on display.  He is thinking of a one tonne crab storage system with extra filtration to deal with the muck crab produce and a de-gassing tower to handle the excess carbon dioxide (which can raise the pH and is harmful to crab).  We’ll have photos of the large crab filter we are making for a new Peterhead company within the week.  This filter can handle 10 tonne of crab!  It has been great fun to manufacture and we can’t wait to get it to the customer.  Another couple of the visitors to the Expo are planning visits to our showroom over the Summer.  If you would like to come and meet with our Fish Tech Engineers and discuss your requirements please get in touch with Errin (Tel 01383 820685) so we can be sure to fit it in around our holidays.

Skipper Expo 17 – Todd Fish Tech team

Over the weekend we have sold another Lobster Pod as a result of the Skipper Expo.  Kevin from Orkney visited our stand and had already done his homework reading our website and catalogue and checking out his options.  We did a great deal for him offering a free seawater chiller as a thanks for ordering on the back of Skipper Expo.  This offer meant he could upgrade from his planned 100Kg capacity to 150Kg and he is chuffed with the good deal.

So after only two weeks we’ve made two sales from Skipper Expo.  A great result for our team and we’re grateful to all of our customers for their continued support.  Our small team are all planning holidays in July so please get in touch if you would like to get a quote or visit us or if you want to place an order to get your new shellfish holding system in before the end of the season to make the most of it before prices rise again!
